Freetures is the idea of a free Creatures game made entirely by the Creatures Community. It might, for example, be based on a mixture of the openc2e engine, libraries derived from MNGPlayer and various community-produced metarooms and breeds.

It is distinct from projects trying to create new free content based on the official games, such as Creatures Orbis and the Creatures Community Project.
