Hi there, new here!

I was addicted to Creatures as a kid and recently decided to get back into it. My old CD's are in a box in my old house - until I have a chance to go and retrieve them I decided to install Docking Station. I know I'll have to use it in offline mode as the servers are probably down(?) but that's ok.

Problem is, it won't run. After installing the file, I get a popup message telling me to change my display settings to High Color (16-bit).

I don't know how to do this in Windows 7's overly user-friendly interface, but even if I did, I'm not sure that I should have to - I spent a fair bit on a Graphics card which should be more than capable of running the game. Do I have to go to the Graphics card control panal and tinker about with the settings? Or is there a simple way to fix this problem that I am simply overlooking?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Go to your resolution settings, click the advanced link, then the monitor tab. Should be at the bottom. You have to do his because it's a software issue, not a hardware one. The game was made to run in 16-bit, and no card is gonna change that.

Right click on your Desktop, select "Screen Resolution" from the small menu that appears, click on the text "Advanced Settings", click on the "Monitor" tab from the windows that opens, and at the bottom there change "True Color (32 bit)" to "High Color (16 bit)" and click the Apply button. - Don 21:51, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
