Having diploid genetics means that an organism has two different versions of each gene in its DNA, typically one from each parent. Dominance and recessive inheritance patterns decide which trait it exhibits. Humans, Shee, and many earth mammals e.g. cats are diploid. However, Grendels, Ettins and Norns have haploid genetics.
